WitWolfy answered the question. By the time first party developers got a handle on the thing PC games were outperforming the best the PS3 had to offer. Billions in R&D and then billions more in price cuts to catch up with the 360 years after launch? Yeah, a disaster. If they went with an equally powerful, more traditional hardware they would have dominated again and been rolling in money. It would have been cheaper to purchase, easier to program for with less sunk costs.
CELL was a disaster for Sony
He hit on the real reason; content. With no content people aren't likely to shell out for 4k TV's, see 3D adoption. Sony again is trying to force a proprietary "format", they'll fail this time too. It took an Act of Congress to get the TV networks in the US to provide High-Def content, they're not going any farther unless they're force too.
Yeah I'm not a big submitter but when I do submit a story I always try to go through and approve as many stories as I can. I probably should approve even when I don't submit though.
Frankly I'd rather have a Surface Pro for that money, so much more you can do with it.
I used to think that a forum was a good idea on the gaming side but it's become a really insular place; some great discussion goes on over there but it would be nice to see it in the stories, not in the forum. It might work here although there's so few of us posting (I'm guilty of not visiting enough) that I'm afraid that discussion would dry up completely on the front page and under the stories.
Just my 2 cents
Reminds me of the Zoolander phone
"Let me Yandex that for you"
That's because they're locked into the Windows environment in their jobs, it's just easier for them to keep stick with Windows. This is Apple's challenge if they want to break into the business sector.
wtf is Yandex?
Good luck you clowns! :)
He's my favorite guy on "Shark Tank"
My wife got a Kindle Fire HD as a thank you gift and it's...alright. The Nexus 7 is better if only because of the UI, I hate getting around on the Kindle, it's just awkward.
Those prices...Apple has lost it
Google calls you a user of Google+ if you have a gmail account, the service itself is pretty dead although I like the layout better than Facebook
Sounds like a bitter Apple fanboy. Isn't the Galaxy S3 the best selling smartphone in the world? Apple has simply failed to innovate
I'm surprised that LG had a better showing than Sony in your eyes. If 4K doesn't take off (say with a similar result to 3D adoption) I could see Sony severely curtailing their TV division.
My wife is a stock analyst and went last year, she found it pretty overwhelming. Did you guys feel that it was just too big?
snap
NO BC for 360 sucks too although that hasn't been confirmed yet. I hope MS finds a solution, even if it's just emulation like in the early days of this gen.
